A note from Don:
I've worked in a supporting
church music
role (pianist, arranger,
assistant) since
I was a kid, but felt God
calling me to be
a music director several
years ago.
I started figuring out
the process of leading
worship while being the
music director at
a church plant - Horizon
Church in Greenville,
SC. One thing I wanted
to do in life was
to watch a church grow
from the very beginning.
I watched and helped this
church move from
meeting weekly in a public
school to eventually
purchasing and remodeling
a fitness center
into a beautiful, modern
facility.
Now I'm investing my time
in worship resource
websites to help contemporary
worship leaders
across the globe. This
website and these
articles will basically
be a diary of things
I've learned... like how
to help your vocalists
blend, how to write charts,
how to keep from
losing your mind... you
get the idea. Not
that I know everything.
I just like to figure
out how things work, and
I'd like to share
some of my ideas and observations
with you.
