Worship Leader Tim Light

Back in 2003 I had a worship songwriting contest here at WorshipIdeas.com. I received submissions from all over the world - some good, some not so good.

Then, one day, producer Phil LeCheminant from Romsey, UK, emailed me an MP3 from his friend Tim Light.

Tim's song, "Our God Reigns," won the contest hands down. It's a great song along the lines of Chris Tomlin or Matt Redman and will work in any contemporary praise set. I've become friends with Tim - I've led worship with him in the UK and he comes over to the states once in awhile to lead worship here. He's the real deal, and I look forward to seeing him go far in music.

He's also a prolific and thoughtful songwriter. During one trip to the USA I suggested we write a Christmas worship song. In about ten minutes we came up with "I Adore You" which has been downloaded and used by over 20,000 churches.
