Remembering Dave Williamson: Why Your Church Should Start Choir

Long time arranger Dave Williamson has passed away at age 67. He produced and/or arranged for Christian musicians such as Natalie Grant, FFH, Larnelle Harris, Ron Kenoly, Babbie Mason, The Martins, Point of Grace, Alvin Slaughter, Sandi Patty, Truth and scores more – over 500 major recording projects since 1970. He had been nominated for numerous Dove awards, winning multiple Doves for “Musical of the Year.” Dave produced and arranged 3 gold records, denoting sales of over 500,000. He had written or arranged anthems, orchestrations, musicals and collections for virtually every major contemporary Christian music publisher. The passion of Dave’s heart was to be part of seeing the choir in the church around the world rediscover God’s original plan for it – becoming worship leaders in the truest sense.
